Thank you for visiting! Here’s a little bit about my journey that led me to where I am today…
I started in the health and wellness industry 15 years ago as a group and resistance training instructor. I graduated from The University of Winnipeg with my Ba, concentration in Kinesiology. Soon after, I took the course to receive designation as as Certified Personal Trainer through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (the highest personal training standard in Canada).
After a few years as a personal trainer, I realized I wanted more. I was already finding myself working through mobility, injury and rehab challenges with my clients, and doing my best to help and treat them with the knowledge I had. But I needed to know more. I decided to head back to school to become a massage therapist…and my mind was blown! I learned so much.
Now I am able to combine my knowledge as a Kinesiologist, former Personal Trainer and now as an RMT, to provide my clients with a well rounded and very specific treatment and in home treatment plan. I am also so excited to have added Acupuncture to my practice in 2024. I have loved acupuncture personally for years, and have always had the goal to offer it to my clients.
My favourite techniques in treatment include AMR (Active Muscle Release), Cupping Therapy, Ischemic Compression (Trigger Points), slow Muscle Stripping and Acupuncture.
As an RMT I want to find the balance between clinical treatment, and mental relaxation…we all have things to work on but need a little relaxation too!
